Senior Telecom Executive Brings Extensive Background in Capital Raising, Financial Management and Operations
CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–GigNet, a Digital Infrastructure company with a regional fiber-optic broadband network from Costa Mujeres to Cancun to Tulum, announced today it is adding Phil Magiera to its Board of Advisors.
Mr. Magiera has over 25 years of investment and management experience in the telecommunications and high technology marketplaces. This includes financing telecom networks in Europe, North and South America in the long-haul, metro, wireless, satellite and submarine cable sectors.
Mr. Magiera brings a comprehensive set of business skills to the Company, including financings, acquisitions, operations, corporate governance and financial reporting. Mr. Magiera was CFO of two public telecommunications companies (NASDAQ: ICCA and WRDP), CFO of Emerald Networks (a trans-Atlantic submarine cable), CFO of Revere Networks, a northeast U.S. long-haul network, and CFO of CapeNet, a fiber-optic telecom services provider.
